University House is the staff club of
The University of Melbourne.

University House was opened in 1953 with 270 members. It was created for the purpose of providing a centre for the community life of the University and University staff. Since its inception each year the Club has made a gradual growth of membership and in 2008 reached 2500 members. University House has come to fill its essential place in the life of the University.

The club has two premises:
University House, located on Professors Road and housed in a beautiful Victorian home with gardens to its east and west.  Dating  back to 1885, University House is the sole survivor of a number of Victorian Professorial houses that once lined Professors Walk.

University House at the Woodward is located south of Grattan Street on the 10th floor of the Law Building in Pelham Street, overlooking University Square.

University House will open new and additional premises south of Grattan Street on the 10th floor Melbourne Law School in Pelham Street Carlton.

UH@W offers Members bar & lounge facilities, and lunch and dinner function catering to The University of Melbourne's business and academic community, and also to customers utilising the Woodward Centre’s world class conference facilities.

The stunning views over North, West and Southern Melbourne,
are matched by first-class cuisine, wines and service. 

UH@W will offer two flexible, modern function dining rooms & boardroom with the latest audio visual equipment.

Coffee & breakfasts from 7.30am
Light cafe style lunch from noon.
Licensed Member lounge until 8pm.

Anticipated opening early March this year.

Joining Fee Special
New & returning members to the club for 2012 will have their joining fee waived .

Membership fee includes both University House & University House at the Woodward
